The path to the goal: 6 steps to change

This is how we proceed to achieve your goals:

 

  1. Problem analysis: First, we examine the problem together and define clear, precise goals.

  2. Development of an individual problem model: We analyze how unfavorable circumstances and problematic coping strategies perpetuate the problem. We focus on problematic thought patterns, deeply held beliefs, emotional blocks, and unfavorable communication and interaction styles.

  3. Developing alternative strategies: We develop new perspectives, learn to better deal with feelings that stand in your way, find new life goals and values, and improve communication.

  4. Transferring what has been learned into everyday life: Together we plan how the new strategies can be gradually integrated into everyday life and professional life.

  5. Review of goal achievement: We evaluate progress and check whether the set goals have been achieved.

  6. Ensuring sustainability: We ensure that the changes are sustained over the long term and permanently integrated into everyday life.

 

 

Case study: From rumination to action – clarity for Anna

 

Initial situation:


Anna, 34, works as a team leader in a medium-sized company. She faces a crucial decision: Should she accept a promotion or pursue a career change? Instead of finding a clear direction, she spends weeks pondering, playing through all possible scenarios, and feeling increasingly insecure. The fear of making the wrong decision is holding her back.

 

Coaching process:


In our coaching sessions, we work on sorting out Anna's thoughts and dissolving her blockages:

 

  • Change of perspective: We analyze your fears and beliefs (“I have to commit myself forever,” “What if I fail?”) and question whether they are really true.

  • Strengthening resources: Through targeted reflection, Anna recognizes her strengths and past successes, which help her make good decisions now.

  • Clarity through structure: With a decision-making strategy (e.g. pro and con analysis, value comparison) you gain more security.

  • Take action: Instead of continuing to think about it, Anna takes the first concrete steps to explore both options (e.g., discussions with colleagues, testing tasks in the new role).

 

Result:


After four coaching sessions, Anna has made a clear decision: She accepts the promotion—with the certainty that she can adjust her direction at any time. She feels more confident in her abilities and now knows how to make future decisions without endless rumination.
